The Ogun State
Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has informed of plans to convert the Model
Colleges across the State into Vocational Skills Acquisition Centers and ICT
Hubs.
He made this known during
his inspection tour of on-going projects across the State.
This he said was to get an on the spot feel of
the various stages and conditions the projects were for the purpose of
continuity in record time.
According to the Ogun
helms man, he is bent on the digital transformation of the State and education
will play a focal point in achieving this purpose which is the reason it will
be given outmost priority.
Governor Abiodun said
since there were already existing structures in place this vision will be fast
tracked, although he observed that some of the structure were defective, he
promised they will be rectified in earnest.
“Tax payers money have been put into building these structures we must make use of them, no model school will be left fallow this I can tell you”.
Prince Abiodun further
revealed that at least one primary school will be renovated in each ward in all
Local Government Areas of the State in fulfillment of the promise he made
during electioneering.

while appreciating the good people of Ogun State said all he had promised will
be done in no time for the use of the citizenry.
The Governors
inspection team which included the Deputy Governor, Head of Service, Chief of
Staff, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education Science and Technology
alongside other top State Functionaries,
also visited the defunt Egbado Teachers Training College ilaro in Yewa
to see how the abandoned facilities can be put to use.
