August 20, 2019 was a bad day for the family of Evangelist Idowu Olugbenga Fabunmi, a gay, when his children and sister in law nearly escaped being lynched by the residents of Olomore area in Abeokuta
It was gathered that the community had attack the family who were on a visit to their resident on the fateful day.
It was gathered that Idowu Christiana Imoleayo and her younger Sister, Idowu Oluwapelumi Florence were with their aunt who happened to be a Sister to their mother and was mistook to have relocated back to their residence following the miraculous escape of their father Evangelist Idowu Olugbenga Fabumi who had escaped some years ago to an unknown location following his been caught by the community while engaging in gay activities with his partner, Kunle Attaka
Our correspondent gathered that Evangelist Idowu Olugbenga Fabunmi was involved in gay activities in the year 2017 which made him and his family fled for safety with his family to escape arrest and prosecution.
He was declared wanted with his gay partner Kunle Attaka by the police and the Olomore community where he lived
But when his Sister in-law who happened to be the Sister to his wife , Mrs Ogunkilede Ajoke, nee Oyero, with his Children visited his old home in Olomore, the community swooped on them mistaken his sister in-law for his wife.
It was also gathered that the wife sister, named Mrs Ogunkilede Ajoke, nee Oyero have an exact resemblance with his wife which generate a strong suspicion.
A source said Mrs Ogunkilede was accosted by a community leader, who latter informed the leadership of Olomore Community Development Association.
It was also gathered that the community had to inform one Segun Sowunmi to lodge a complaint at the police station.
It was reported that all the two female children of Evangelist Idowu Olugbenga Fabunmi which include Idowu Christiana imoleayo and Idowu Oluwapelumi Florence with his Sister in-law, we're whisked away to the station.
Our source said that the community on sighting the family, through Segun Sowunmi and one leader from Olomore Community, Alh Isiaq Odugbemi, reported to police thinking that it was Olugbenga Idowu and his wife and children that had resurfaced in the community not knowing that, it was his children and her sister in-law
When the police arrested his children and her sister in-law, they told them to produce their father Evang Idowu Olugbenga Fabunmi who had been on their wanted list for gay activities since year 2017
All efforts to get reaction from the Ogun State command Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Oyeyemi proved abortive as calls and messages to his mobile line were not responded to.
