As everyone is celebrating Eid-El-Kabir all around
the world, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Ogun state command was put into mourning
over the death of one their officers who was shot dead some days ago.
The officer simply identified as Aderibigbe Idowu
met his untimely death during the recently rescued operation of members of the
Redeemed Christian Church of God RCCG from the den of kidnappers led by
Nigerian Police Force including Vigilante at J3 area of Ijebu East local
government in Ogun State.
National Trumpet learnt that Idowu was given a
ceremonial burial by the men of Vigilante Group of Nigeria on Wednesday in the
midst of his family and friends at Igbotako town of Ondo state.
According to the report reaching us, the family
including eyewitnesses rented the air with crying and sobbing, also from
different quarters who sees it as one of the woes experienced in the country
today because of kidnapping and other criminal acts that has taken over the
entire country.
The Commander of Vigilante Group of Nigeria, Ogun
state command, Nureni Olanrewaju Adedoyin while speaking with National Trumpet
said the memory of the Late Idowu will never be forgotten in the history of VGN
as he had devoted his time and resources to the betterment of the group.
He therefore call on the Ogun state Government led
by Prince Dapo Abiodun to give the command total support with necessary
logistics that will enable them to do their work efficiently because safety of
lives and properties is paramount in the job of security.
Furthermore, he assured the residents of the state
not to panic, as the command is working day and night and even endlessly to
bring the activities of evil perpetrators to an end.
