The crisis rocking the Federal Medical Center, Abeokuta seems not to abate in spite of the appointment of Prof Adewale Musa-Olomu for second term as the Medical Director for the Center.
Living Guide report that there had been series of crisis and allegations against the Medical Director with some groups within the center championning moves to prevent the reappointment of Musa-Olomu for second term.
It was gathered that part of allegations against the Medical Director which has also resulted into legal issue at the Federal High Court sitting in Abeokuta was the accusation that Prof Musa-Olomu allegedly tampered with his age and other fraudulent activity.
But with the reappointment of the embattled Medical Director, it seems the whole crisis is yet to settle.
Findings by Living Guide showed that following his second term resumption, Prof Musa-Olomu had sued for peace vowing to be fair to all.
He also assured that he was not ready to witchunt anybody saying that as a true Muslim, he was ready to allow bygone to be bygone.
But hardly had he settled down that a non governmental organization,, All Youths Reoriented Initiative of Nigeria, filed a case against the Medical Director at the Federal High Court, Abeokuta, over alleged age falsification.
The summon, with suit number FHC/AB/CS/100, was filed before the court on September 20th, 2021.
The petitioner alleged that the Musa-Olomu deliberately falsified his date of birth.
The group also wondered why Musa-Olomu's appointment was renewed after he was indicted for age falsification, gross misconduct, and abuse of office by the board of the medical centre.
Aside the controversy around his age, the MD was alleged to have employed his son, Babatunde, and in less than a year of the son’s appointment, he allegedly granted him study leave in an European country, with pay.
With the ruling schedule for March 16, 2022 by Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo of Federal High court, Abeokuta, Our Correspondent gathered that a former Inter Party Advisory Council Chairman in Ogun State and the National Publicity Secretary of Labour Party, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi waded into the issue and petitioned the Inspector General of Police, the Ogun State Command of Nigeria Police, the Health Ministry and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on allegations that those that were allegedly fanning the embers of discord in FMC Abeokuta were also not 'clean'.
Based on the petition, it was gathered that the Police had already invited not less than Ten of the Senior Staff including the Chairman of the Board of the Hospital.
Also it was gathered that the ministry has also summoned about Seven of those mentioned in Arabambi petition to Abuja for questioning.
Speaking to Our Correspondent, an insider alleged that the petition might have arose in order to gag those against the Medical Director.
"Arabambi is just been used to blackmail those against the Medical Director, the question is of what interest is Arabambi in FMC management?
The source alleged that the move was to silence those opposing Prof. Musa-Olomu, but he failed to realize that the issue on ground has nothing to do with those he is persecuting, but a group outside the Center.
Speaking to Our Correspondent, Comrade Abayomi Arabambi denied the allegations that he is been sponsored by Prof Musa-Olomu, but said his interest is purely personal.
"I am a Nigerian, I also patronize FMC Abeokuta, as an health Institution that handle my health issue, I must be concern with what goes on there. Nobody is sponsoring or using me against anybody.
