No fewer than ten members of a pentecostal church, in Niger State sustained varying degrees of injuries,as they ran scampered for safety when suspected Islamist fighters stormed their church
The entire church,the Living Faith Church in Tundun Wada Majinga was enveloped by palpable tension as the Islamic fighters combed the church looking for the Presiding Pastor of the church who they accused of converting moslem within the community and it's environs to Christianity.
It was gathered that the visiting men ,who were armed,disrupted the church service as they seized bibles found with worshippers,with the congregation having harrowing experiences in the hands of their unexpected visitors.
At the end of their reign of terror which lasted hours ,the Jihadist destroyed parts of the church while some members who were wounded were rushed to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention.
The Jihadists cited verses in the Quran ,to justify their action as they brandished knives and harrows before the congregation who they asked to tell them the whereabouts of their Pastor,Godwin Ayoka.
Sources within the church revealed that the sought after Pastor, had on sighting the warring Islamists,taken to his heels,escaping through one of the exits in the church.
Recall that Pastor Godwin stepped on the toes of some Muslim faithful in the state,after he was accused of going on crusades in some villages where he allegedly converted some moslem to Christianity.
The Pastor and those who allegedly went on the envagelism with him,have since known no peace,with the constant embarrassing situation they found themselves ,as the islamic die hards continue their search for them.
