For the second time in less than one month, notorious cultists again distrupted the peace of three communities in Odeda local government area of Ogun State .

The affected communities where the dreaded cultists touched during their attacks which caught residents unawares included Car wash,Osiele and Obantoko communities ,where  two persons were  reportedly killed with other sustaining injuries.

The onslaught by the cultists was the climax of the clashes between two notable rival cult groups ,the Aiye and Eiye confraternities, in the area since June this year.

Although details of the uproar between  the two groups remained sketchy as at the time of filling this report,it was however gathered that the unslaught was the spill over of a recent clash by the groups in Sagamu town of the state.

Residents scampered for safety ,with  confusion enveloping the affected areas as the cultists operated freely, moving from house to house,in search of known cultists.

Notable among places visited by the irate cult members whose group could not be easily identified were houses of persons believed to be staunch members of one of two rival cult groups.

Just yesterday, the leader of a unit of the Aiye confraternity,Adeyemi, ,a.k.a Bobby ,was gunned down in a pool of his own blood in Isabo area of Abeokuta while one of the groups also lost its No 1(leader)to the superior weaponry of the other group in a free for all ,in Itoko area of Abeokuta.

The deadly groups, according to sources were said to have threatened to continue their fight  as their endless battles for superiority, gather momentum across the state.

In Kongudu and America junction areas of  Obantoko ,where the skirmishes were also recorded ,social miscreants hijacked the situation, stealing from shops, but the situation was later brought under control by security operatives.
