Pastor Tunde Bakare, the Overseer of the renowned Citadel Global Community Church in Lagos and an astute politician well known for his candor has expressed his desire to leave the hustle and bustle of Lagos and relocate to Ogun State to live.
The impetus for this relocation, according to Pastor Bakare, one time presidential running mate to former President Mohammadu Buhari before the latter changed party to the All Progressives Congress (APC), is the impressive performance of Governor Dapo Abiodun in the state.
Pastor Bakare opined that Governor Abiodun with his Midas touch is changing the face of Ogun State, transforming it to a modern state and in an ambiance of serenity.
Pastor Bakare expressed this view in an interview with newsmen after a private meeting with Governor Abiodun at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
The controversial clergy, reputed for unbarred opinions on issues of national concerns, affirmed that the administration of Governor Abiodun in the state is making progress through the execution of many projects that could be verified by all and sundry.
The Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church noted that the transformation engendered by the governor has taken the state to a higher pedestal.
He described Governor Abiodun as a visionary leader, whose policies and programmes were impacting positively on people’s lives in the state.
"Perhaps the governor just decided that this state must be a centre of excellence, and he has made it so", he noted.
The cleric expressed the desire to relocate to the state as a result of the impressive performance of the governor and peaceful atmosphere, stressing that, "nobody would want to be in an environment that is hostile".
