Alhaji Inuwa Garba
The President of Association of Non Indigenes Resident in Ogun State, Alhaji Inuwa Garba has called on all the Non Indigenes resident in Ogun State to shun the planned nationwide protest scheduled to start from August 1st -10th.
Alhaji Inuwa Garba, who is also the Sariki Hausawa of Sagamu passionately implored all its members in the state to ignore any violent protest, especially the planned forthcoming nationwide protest.
In a release issued yesterday from his office at Sagamu, Ogun State and signed by Alhaji Inuwa Garba, he acknowledged that though hunger, high cost of living and unprecedented youth unemployment pervade the nation, the planners of the nationwide protest should embrace dialogue.
He charged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to expedite actions on policies that will ameliorate the sufferings of the masses and bring out people-friendly policies.
He used the opportunity to appeal to the police and other law enforcement agencies to provide adequate security for the Non Indigenes against any form of violent attack on their persons, properties and businesses within the state during the protest.
Regarding rumours in some quarters that the non-Indigine youths are behind the protest, the President debunked the rumours.
"We are very peaceful residents within our host community and that the leadership of Association of Non Indigenes Resident in Ogun State, will ensure total control of their members at large against every form of violent protest"
He applauded the governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his landmark achievements so far and his efforts at making the state conducive for peaceful co- existence.
